Our Tasmania is a beautiful island state where community life still exits. From our local footy teams, soccer clubs to Saturday morning netball our kids and families are out there every weekend enjoying life. Our arts and restaurant scene is second to none. Sailing, studying, working or volunteering we are a tight knit community.
I'm part of my local community. I grew up in New Town, went to school in Claremont and now live in South Hobart. I've been fortunate to have had a fantastic career all over the world, made possible through the education I received in Tasmania.
I like to give back to my community. Last year I supported the Claremont guides with the car show, next year I might enter my 1964 beetle. What a great job they do. I support many community and charitable organisations, from Ovarian Cancer Australia, Diabetes Tasmania through to a broad range of local community groups.
With three kids at school we are part of the rhythm of life in Hobart.
That's why my team developed GASP! which has grown in presence as the most innovative and well loved local community space. I am proud to continue as GASP! Ambassador. As President of the Southern Football League I am honoured to be the custodian of this important footy league and to be able to help shepherd the women's game into Tasmania.
